چکیده
Bile acids are involved in the modulation of various metabolic processes facilitating biliary excretion endogenous and exogenous cholesterol. The objective this study was to determine glycocholic acid binding capacity (BC) chicken blood hydrolysates using an optimized RP-HPLC methodology. Samples were hydrolysed a combination five different enzymes. Alcalase Protamex presented highest BC, with mean values 20.09% 20.61%, respectively. Subsequently, both ultrafiltered obtain fractions >10 kDa, between 10 3 <3 BC obtained for peptide kDa. Finally, protein fragments (MW > kDa) potentially responsible identified by LC-MS/MS. results confirmed relation molecular weight peptides generated, suggesting that certain generated from could contribute positive impact on health interfering cholesterol metabolism.

Bile acid binding capacity of fish protein hydrolysates from discard species of the West Mediterranean Sea.
Fish protein hydrolysates (FPH), produced from the six main discard species from the West Mediterranean Sea (sardine, horse mackerel, axillary seabream, bogue, small-spotted catshark and blue whiting) were tested for their bile acid binding capacity. This capacity is directly linked to the ability to inhibit bile reabsorption in the ileum and therefore to lower cholesterol levels in the bloodst...

This study revealed polyphenolic content, nutritive content, antioxidant activity, and phenolic profile of methanol and aqueous extracts of Punica granatum peel extract. For this, extracts were screened for possible antioxidant activities by free radical scavenging activity (DPPH), hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity and ferric-reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assays. The total phenolics and...
متن کاملA Specific Peptide with Calcium-Binding Capacity from Defatted Schizochytrium sp. Protein Hydrolysates and the Molecular Properties.
Marine microorganisms have been proposed as a new kind of protein source. Efforts are needed in order to transform the protein-rich biological wastes left after lipid extraction into value-added bio-products. Thus, the utilization of protein recovered from defatted Schizochytrium sp. by-products presents an opportunity. A specific peptide Tyr-Leu (YL) with calcium-binding capacity was purified ...

Extruded breakfast cereals (EBC), processed from two oat lines, N979-5-2-4 (N979) and "Jim", with beta-glucan concentrations of 8.7 and 4.9%, respectively, were used to determine the impact of dry solids (DS) and bile acid (BA) concentrations on in vitro BA binding efficiency. A full fractional factorial design with levels for BA concentrations of 0.20, 0.47, 0.95, 2.37, and 4.73 micromol/g of ...

Peptide-calcium can probably be a suitable supplement to improve calcium absorption in the human body. In this study, a specific peptide Phe-Tyr (FY) with calcium-binding capacity was purified from Schizochytrium sp. protein hydrolysates through gel filtration chromatography and reversed phase HPLC. The calcium-binding capacity of FY reached 128.77 ± 2.57 μg/mg. Results of ultraviolet spectrosc...
